World Mental Health Day 2019

Well, here comes autumn... season of mists & mellow fruitfulness... & this year, as every year since 1992, the 10th of October brings us to World Mental Health Day.

World Mental Health Day 2019 emphasises mental health promotion & suicide prevention:

A gradually increasing global problem, for the first time since 2013 UK suicide rates increased in 2018 (by almost 12% check out Samaritans data & reports).

It is important to make efforts to manage your own mental health & wellbeing, which can enable you to support other folk in optimising theirs, & much information & advice is available only a click away e.g. The Mental Health Foundation has a range publications/reports to download for free; MIND has a comprehensive information offer, as does SANE, Rethink Mental Illness etc.

The Mental Health Foundation provide phenomenally interesting & useful information in their Fundamental Facts about Mental Health 2016 publication.
