Black Country Living Museum... we made it!

Unbelievably, everyone due to turn up, duly turned up; Shaun arriving at Cannock railway station four & a half hours before the 9.32 to Birmingham New Street thereby allowing plenty of time to check-in!

We took the more scenic, canal towpath route from Tipton station to the museum... those main roads are chockful, noisy, & unpleasant... the canal, quiet, slow, & surprisingly clean (with plentiful bramble coming into season!)

With the schools just having gone back, the museum was active but not too busy... great access to the buildings (which, I believe, are it's crowning glory!)

This chap seems to have fallen asleep standing up!

Yes, there was chips & beer for some; others, more skinflinty, had opted for the down-market packed lunch...

The weather was kind, the company good-ish... a lovely day... but then came the train journey home... those guys couldn't organise something very easy, in a context that makes it even easier!
